Greenspace Designs provides garden consultation and design services to suit our client’s needs. We offer on site consultations, basic concept plans, full working design drawings, and project management services. Throughout the process we are committed to creating sustainable gardens. We do this through our use of locally made or recycled products and materials, and by incorporating rain barrels and compost systems into our designs. We also design with drought tolerant, low-maintenance plantings, which are grown on Vancouver Island wherever possible.

Consultation: We begin with an in-depth meeting in your garden, where we discuss your goals, needs, site assets and liabilities, budget expectations, and preferred garden styles. Based on this information, we will provide you with design ideas, including planting and hardscape suggestions, as well as maintenance suggestions and organic gardening techniques.

Design: After the consultation and site survey are complete, Greenspace Designs will create a concept sketch outlining the basic elements of the new garden including hardscaping elements and tree placement. At this point we will meet with you to discuss and make any changes to the concept sketch before moving on to the final design plan. These detailed drawings include a general site layout plan, as well as a planting and hardscaping plan, outlining everything necessary to complete the garden.

Project Management: Greenspace Designs offers full project management services. This includes sourcing the best builders, stonemasons, artisans and landscapers, acquiring and reviewing quotes, and then creating and seeing through a detailed project schedule. The project schedule outlines the order of work that will be done, and provides completion dates for the various tasks. By creating a schedule and reviewing quotes, we are able to control the cost and quality of the work done to complete your garden.
