This roof-top balcony started as a grey empty space with an incredible 180 degree view of Vancouver's west side, as well as Stanley Park, downtown, the North Shore mountains, and of course the ocean across to Vancouver Island. But even with this view, the space felt cold, grey and empty. Greenspace was hired to warm up the feeling of the balcony and to create a low-maintenance garden in which the homeowners could entertain their friends, or simply enjoy the unbeatable view.

The homeowners also wanted a water feature with a large enough sound to block out the building's air conditioner, which is positioned adjacent to the balcony.
